God Starts A Building Fund

What a refreshing feeling when God initiates something! Often we follow the pattern of other ministries and just do things because that is the way everyone else does it that way.  (by the way that is religion)  Being a young church we never had a fund especially for a future building, though it had crossed our mind.  We have a strong belief that giving is done through tithes and offerings not through gimmicks often used by the world and the church. We believe that if all the church tithed and gave offerings follow the Biblical pattern of giving there would be abundance in the church like never seen before. Exodus 36:5,6 Anyway we did not have fund.  On Monday September 1, 2003 a local pastor called me and asked if we had a building fund and I told him no.  My flesh said create one now it sounds like he wants to give to it but I explained it had been a thought and we have needs for capitol items but not a real fund.  He explained that God wanted him to donate to our building fund and when we had one let him know.  I was some what disappointed but said the truth.  A few minutes later I had a message from him asking me to call him.  I called and he said God would not let him go, he said you need to create a building fund and he would be making the first donation to it.  A check came in the mail in a couple days and now we have a building fund.

We truly believe this was more than a donation and creation of a specific account for funds, but a prophetic act of what is to come. We are believing that God is going to stir the hearts of others to do like wise and this time my answer will be yes with no hesitation.
